TV Strike – Day 14

Y’all. I’ve made it FOURTEEN DAYS without tv?! I know I’ve been MIA since the weekend. I just got busy – I celebrated my brother in law’s birthday on Saturday and went to the beach. Then did brunch on Sunday and spent the afternoon drinking on a patio, enjoying the crazy/unexpected/cool weather.

Pictures below are of the beach on Saturday. It was overcast, but the sky was gorgeous. The prettiest blues and grays from the rain clouds. It was kind of perfect.

In other news – what have I been filling the rest of my time with? You know…the PRODUCTIVE time? I’ve been researching blog SEO the past two days. Reading A TON. In my opinion, as a web designer, SEO is like a black hole topic. It’s one of those topics with a limited/vague definition. Anyways, I feel like I’m getting somewhere, which is all that matters lol. #progress Esp. since an ultimate goal of mine would be to build my own WordPress theme.

Upcoming – I’ll finish Fifty Shades vol.1 soon! A WHOLE BOOK, ha. Painting my ugly black bookshelf is also on the horizon.

Things to do around Houston - (I intend to share my schedule-ish on Sundays or Mondays – earlier in the week, btw)

  • For any of you runners out there, Luke’s Locker is doing a free workshop this Thursday (at the River Oaks location) where they watch you run and give you pointers. It’s an hour long and they will work with you to help you find where you hit the ground when you land, and if you should be landing differently, etc. I also love going to Luke’s because I enjoy picking runners’ brains as often as possible! Starts at 6:30 pm.
  • Saturday night I’m going to be at Cezzane’s Jazz club. I’ve been meaning to go for so long and this week they have an amazing female vocalist and band there. Kellye Gray – check it out here.

I hope everyone’s weeks finish up nicely. I won’t take so long in between blog posts next time. PROM.
